Project Manager – International Grassroots Campaigns

Position Objectives:

To manage a variety of campaign projects


Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Independently coordinate various campaigns and projects

• Perform independent research and analysis related to a variety of PETA campaigns

• Draft and edit letters to corporations, public figures, government officials, and other decision makers

• Draft and update PETA reports, speeches, and web text covering a variety of issues

• Respond to various inquiries from PETA supporters and the public via e-mail and telephone

• Professionally advocate PETA’s positions on issues to the public

• Exercise sound judgment and confidentiality at all times

• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor



• Degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Activist and campaigning experience a plus

• Minimum of three years of project or personnel management experience

• Experience conducting and analyzing Internet research

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with online marketing and social media

• Demonstrated excellent decision-making skills and the proven ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Proven exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Proven excellent writing and editing abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail

• Proven thorough knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns

• Professional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle

• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver’s license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record

• Support for PETA’s philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate PETA’s positions on issues

• Commitment to the objectives of the organization
