Whether you’re seeking a job in the animal advocacy or welfare field, or are an organization who’d like to submit a free job ad, Animal Jobs Digest is for you.

About Animal Jobs Digest

This site serves as an online outlet for people interested in animal-centered jobs. It consists of  helpful articles, resources, and job listings.

What it Costs to Place an Ad

Absolutely nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero. Job openings from organizations meeting the criteria are posted completely free.

The site is completely free for anyone to browse and read. Any income I receive is derived from ads, affiliates, and sponsors. I work independently and don’t represent any organization.

How to Place an Ad

Simply go to the Submit Jobs page, enter your information and ad (it will require setting up a free account). Once the job appears in the system, I will review it, and if accepted, will publish. It’s as simple as that.

What’s the Criteria for Placing an Ad?

Your organization, whether a nonprofit or business, must be focused on helping animals and/or the habitats in which they live. Here’s a list to give you an idea of what I mean . . .

  • Legitimate animal sanctuaries, rescues, and shelters
  • Animal welfare and rights organizations. Examples: Born Free USA, ASPCA, National Audubon Society
  • Environmental organizations: Sierra Club, Conservation International, Rainforest Alliance
  • Animal-themed magazine, book, and blog publishers
  • For-profit businesses & consulting firms. Examples: Public relations firms with a nonprofit focus, conservation consultants, law firms
  • Service businesses. Examples: Dog walkers and groomers, “pet” sitters and daycare
  • Retail businesses. Must not sell any live animals. Examples: Pet supplies stores, animal-themed gift shops
  • Zoos . . . but it depends on the zoo. Several zoos are making great strides in how they house and care for their animals, providing larger, more appropriate space. Some even resemble animal sanctuaries. If you’ve ever seen the spacious North Carolina Zoo’s African exhibit, for example, you know what I mean.

I won’t accept any ads from pet shops, breeders, circuses, labs, “entertainment” parks, and such.  And I reserve the right to refuse any ad.

If you have any questions, please contact me.

Or if you know of an organization who has an opportunity, by all means, please share with them.
